**IMPORTANT FIELD TRIP FORMS WENT HOME IN FOLDERS TODAY!! PLEASE RETURN THEM TOMORROW.
WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR ZOO VOLUNTEERS FOR THURSDAY. WE HAVE TWO CONFIRMED VOLUNTEERS, BUT WE NEED AT LEAST 4.** It is so hard to believe that it is already March. I cannot believe how quickly the year is flying by. This morning we discussed what "in like a lion, out like a lamb", means in relation to this month. Ask your child what they think it means! This morning we had an extended gym period. We were able to have more time exploring the equipment. This was our first time with both classes participating together. Everyone was well behaved. We will be going back for extra time tomorrow too! When we returned from gym we completed a yummy measuring activity! We figured that shoestring licorice is about 100 cm long. (part of 100 days) Independently we moved around the school to find and write down 5 things that were longer and 5 things that were short than 100 cm. You could extend this at home by using other items to measure with. (ie, string, piece of spaghetti, shoelace) Homework tonight: Talk about what "endangered animal" means? Help your child post to the blog an animal they would be interested in learning more about. |
