Good afternoon! We had a great morning in kindergarten. We began our day by making our own model of "Rock Brain". These were sent home to be used as a reminder to always be the "Incredible Flexible" you. See more information on yesterday's blog about these "villains" and how they can be defeated.
After gym we went to visit the Grade 5 Museum set up in their classroom. Ask your child to explain some of the artifacts that they saw and why they were important. Post your answers to the blog!!!
"Max's Words" is the story we read today. It is about a boy and his desire to have a collection. Ask your child about Max's collection and where he finds pieces for his collection. What does he discover and do with his collection?
Tomorrow is our trip to the "Fish Hatchery". All children should come to school at regular time and be picked up at 2:20. All children need to bring a backpack large enough to carry their indoor shoes, lunch, water bottle and sketchbook. Remember to dress for the weather. We will be outside for a portion of the day. Please see the following from the "Bow Habitat Station":
Dear Parent/Guardian,
An adventure awaits your child at Bow Habitat Station! Here are a few tips that
may help your child enjoy their visit:
Pack a hearty and healthy lunch (snacks and water too!). Children need lots of energy
for a field trip!
Tell your child not to forget to bring their clean indoor shoes (from school). Clean shoes
must be worn in the Discovery Centre.
Also remember to tell your child that no liquids or foods are permitted in the Discovery
Centre and that they should eat their snacks during assigned snack time.
Do not send any unnecessary items that your child may lose during their field trip (i.e.
toys and other trinkets).
Please help prepare your child so they can be ready for an adventure! If you
would like more information about Bow Habitat Station please feel free to visit

We hope that your child will have an enjoyable and memorable visit!
**Our postcards from around the world are beginning to pour in. Remember that we need everyone's help so that we can make it to 100! **
Don't forget to book a parent teacher interview if you have not already done so!
